Basic compression mode will reduce your PDF size while ensuring that the file quality remains the same as the original file format. This should be sufficient for most needs. However, if your original file is very large, basic compression may not be enough to reduce the file size to less than 300 KB. But that doesn’t mean we can’t solve your problem! For very difficult cases, you can always use strong compression mode. This mode can reduce the size up to 75% of the original file!
Don’t worry about file size. Our servers can process PDF files up to 5 GB per file.
Stronger PDF Compression
Stronger compression mode is an option for our Pro users, but fortunately we offer a 7-day free trial for you to try right away. To start the trial directly from the compression tool, simply upload your file to the compressor tool, select “Strong Compression” mode, and you will be directed to register.
If you don’t want to continue using a Pro account after the free trial, remember to turn off automatic package renewal on the account page so you will not be charged for the renewal. If you plan to continue, the Smallpdf Pro package has several advantages, including:
- Batch Compression: Reduce the size of as many files as you like at once.
- Scanned PDF Conversion: Convert images and scans into editable Word, PPT, and Excel files.
- Edit PDF: annotate, add text, or even digitally sign PDF files.
- Smallpdf Desktop Application: Use our offline tools on your computer.
- Smallpdf Mobile Application: Get your work done from anywhere.
